About This Site

Food is a conversation. It is an ice breaker, a friendship maker, a way for people to connect. We’ve all heard the expressions, “Break bread together,” and “let’s talk about this over dinner.” Meals traditionally are a way to put aside differences and come together over a common need – sustenance. There’s almost an unspoken universal rule at the dinner table to leave weapons at the door and share a meal as friends, no matter what the differences may be.

This project is more than just a collection of stories and recipes; it’s a look at how food shapes our lives and fuels conversations that in turn, build relationships and lasting friendships.
